Host Alex Trebek joins Mary Parker, an Arkansas schoolteacher, during her appearance on “Jeopardy!” this month.

A Springdale, AR, French teacher recently advanced to a “Jeopardy!” semifinal round thanks to her knowledge of postage stamp subjects.

Mary Parker was featured in an episode of the show’s recent teachers’ tournament, where she bested the competition in the “On a Postage Stamp” category.

Parker answered three of the five clues correctly.

When asked to name the character who posed with his creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs, on a 2012 stamp, Parker responded: “Who is Tarzan?”

For the second clue, “This soda fountain favorite, containing neither ingredient in its name,” which referred to a 2016 stamp, she answered: “What is an egg cream?”

The category’s final clue referred to a 2015 postcard stamp and asked contestants to name a type of shell used as a trumpet. Parker correctly answered: “What is a conch shell?”

Despite her win, Parker said she doesn’t know a lot about stamps, although she keeps up with new releases.

The most recent love-themed stamps are her favorites.

“I like the new Love Skywriting stamp,” she said. “And I used the Quilled Paper Heart stamp when I got married last year.”
