Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.78 percent during the week ending June 2, unchanged from one week earlier.
Dakotas (99.12 percent) topped the districts, while Western (98.17 percent) led the areas.

New look. USPS is updating its Business Mail Acceptance site, including redesigning the front page to align with other Blue sites.
Additional improvements are planned to make the site more productive for users. The improvements are based on the results of a recent user survey.
Sustainability recognition. USPS Energy Initiatives Manager Carolyn Cole has received recognition from Energy Manager Today, a sustainability news site.
Cole has been named to the Energy Manager Today 50, a ranking of the sustainability sector’s top managers. She will be honored at the site’s upcoming annual conference.
All aboard. The National Postal Museum has opened an exhibit on trolley car mail, a service that used streetcars to speed up deliveries during the late 1890s and early 1900s.
The exhibit runs through Sept. 10 at the Washington, DC, museum. More information is available on the museum’s site.
