Handbook update. USPS has updated the AS-805 Information Security Handbook to better protect against unauthorized use, modification, disclosure or destruction of information resources.
The handbook updates requirements for:

- Encrypting USB flash drives
- Connecting personal and postal-issued devices to USPS systems
- Clearance and background checks for designated personnel
Responsibilities have also been revised for functional system coordinators, the USPS employees authorized to grant user access to information systems.
