Flag notice, Click-N-Ship news

Postmaster Bill Gossy, an Air Force veteran, and Retail Associate Garth Follett, an Army vet, fly the U.S. flag at half-staff at the Woodacre, CA, Post Office recently.

Flag notice. National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, an annual commemoration of the 1941 attack, will be observed Thursday, Dec. 7.

Postal Service facilities are required to fly the U.S. flag at half-staff this day.

To fly the flag at half-staff, hoist the flag to the peak for an instant and then lower it to the half-staff position. The flag should be raised to the peak again before it’s lowered for the day.

For additional information, refer to the Postal Service’s online guidelines on U.S. flag display and maintenance.

Just a few clicks. A new USPS video offers customers a brief tutorial of the popular Click-N-Ship service.

The video shows how to establish an account and use it to print shipping labels, order Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes, schedule pickups and fill out customs forms online for packages sent overseas or to military bases.

The 1-minute, 30-second video can be viewed on the Postal Service’s YouTube channel.
