In a new animated video, one of the Postal Service’s top leaders shows employees how to report suspicious emails.
The segment highlights the “Report to CyberSafe” button, which is featured on the Microsoft Outlook toolbar on ACE computers.
Employees can use the button to quickly report phishing attempts and other suspicious emails to the CyberSafe at USPS team.
In the video, Chief Information Officer Kristin Seaver — who appears in animated form — notes online criminals often send phishing emails to con recipients into revealing passwords and other personal information in order to hack into computer systems.
Seaver demonstrates how to identify phishing emails and report them using the new button.
“The Postal Service is entrusted with a vast amount of customer data and employee information, and USPS employees play a pivotal role in keeping that information secure,” Seaver says.
