Postal Service operations are continuing during the federal government shutdown.

USPS will remain open for business during the federal government shutdown.

“Postal Service operations are not being interrupted during the current government shutdown, and all Post Offices remain open for business as usual,” the organization said in a statement.

“Because we are an independent entity that is funded through the sale of our products and services, and not by tax dollars, our services are not impacted by the government shutdown.”

The statement is also available on the USPS Newsroom site.
