Munoz to lead Pacific Area

Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan has announced the appointment of Larry Munoz as Pacific Area vice president, a position he has held on an acting basis since April 2017.

The appointment takes effect Feb. 3.

Munoz oversees all operations in the area, which includes California, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Saipan and Rota. The area has more than 68,000 employees, 14.6 million delivery points and an annual budget of $6.2 billion.

Prior to his role as Pacific Area’s acting vice president, Munoz served as Sierra Coastal District’s manager.

He joined USPS in 1986 as a distribution clerk in Van Nuys, CA, and later served as Los Angeles Network Distribution Center manager; senior plant manager in Nevada-Sierra, Los Angeles and Sierra Coastal districts; district manager in San Diego and Santa Ana districts; and Pacific Area’s operations support manager.
