Scanning update, training reminder

Western was the area leader in scanning during the week ending March 9, while Dakotas finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.74 percent during the week ending March 9, down from one week earlier.

Dakotas (99.12 percent) topped the districts, while Western (98.14 percent) led the areas.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail. It also helps USPS improve efficiency and network management.

To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and select “Analytics Tools,” followed by “DES 2 — Scan Performance.”

Training reminder. The Postal Service is rolling out upgraded credit card payment technology to help guard against fraud.

Employees can prepare by taking the following Learning Management System training courses: EMV 101 — Accepting Chip Cards (course number 10027017) and Retail Clerk Training (course number 10023328).
