Employee recognition, stamp news

Hands clapping
The Engagement Most Valuable Players program honors bargaining unit employees for their efforts to improve postal workplaces.

On the way. More than 800 bargaining unit employees will soon receive recognition for their efforts to foster enthusiasm, involvement and commitment in their workplaces.

The individuals have been designated as Engagement Most Valuable Players (EMVPs), one of several programs that recognize employees for their contributions to engagement.

USPS is mailing lanyards, pins and certificates to the honorees’ workstations. Each EMVP’s manager will receive an email with instructions on recognizing the employee in his or her workplace.

The Employee Engagement LiteBlue page has additional information on the EMVP program and other initiatives. Questions can be emailed to engagement@usps.gov.

STEM stamps. The Postal Service will release its STEM Education stamps Friday, April 6.

The stamps, which celebrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics education, will be dedicated that day at the U.S. Science and Engineering Festival in Washington, DC.

This week’s media advisory has more information.
