The Postal Service has released Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan’s latest “Business Focus” video.

The National Postal Forum, USPS finances, public policy matters and other topics are addressed in Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan’s latest “Business Focus” video.

In discussing the forum, Brennan says the annual industry conference helps the Postal Service generate sales and showcase emerging technologies. She also shows a brief, fast-paced video from the event that illustrates the power of the postal network.

One of the highlights of this year’s forum was the announcement that Informed Delivery has approximately 10 million users.

Brennan encourages employees to sign up for the mail notification service and promote it to their friends, family and customers.

“Informed Delivery is important for our business. It gives marketers a new digital platform to engage their consumers, and it multiplies the mail moment,” she says.

During the segment on finances, the Postmaster General reviews the fiscal 2018 second-quarter (Jan. 1-March 31) results, which showed the organization continuing a multi-year trend of declining letter volume and increasing package volume.

“We need to continue to focus on what we can control. We must operate as efficiently as possible,” she says.

The Postmaster General also states that “continued aggressive management of the business, and legislative and regulatory reform, all are necessary to return the organization to financial stability and to best serve our customers, the American public.”

Other topics addressed include Informed Visibility, on-the-job safety, the recent Stamp Out Hunger food drive, and new stamps.
