The article is part of a broader Postal Service program that focuses on the recognition and prevention of heat-related illnesses. The organization has also sent informational postcards to every employee’s home and provided posters to all USPS facilities.

The latest Postal Bulletin also features recent updates to USPS forms, policies and procedures.

Semiannual report. The Postal Service’s auditor recently completed 1,141 investigations that led to 329 arrests and almost $53 million in fines, restitutions and recoveries, including $23 million that was returned to USPS.

The data is included in the Office of Inspector General’s Semiannual Report to Congress, which covers a six-month period ending March 31.

USPS accepted 79 percent of the agency’s recommendations.
