Scanning, hurricane guide updates

Western was the area leader in scanning during the week ending June 15, while Dakotas finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.86 percent during the week ending June 15, up from one week earlier.

Dakotas (99.22 percent) topped the districts, while Western (98.22 percent) led the areas.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail. It also helps USPS improve efficiency and network management.

Hurricane season information. The Postal Service has released an updated Hurricane Preparedness Guide.

The guide offers hurricane preparation, response and recovery information for managers and other employees.

The guide is available on the National Preparedness Blue page in the Hot topics and Preparedness Guidance sections.

Hurricane season runs from June 1-Nov. 30 each year.
