Payment card security courses available

Retail associates and other employees who deal with payment cards must complete required cybersecurity training by Sept. 21.

The Postal Service is offering new cybersecurity training for retail associates and other employees who deal with payment cards.

The mandatory online courses are designed to help users learn how to secure employee, supplier and customer data. All courses must be completed before Friday, Sept. 21.

The courses are:

  • Protecting Payment Cardholder Data: Everyone’s Responsibility, Retail Associate Training (course number 10006255)
  • Protecting Payment Card Info: Back Office Training (course number 10006254)
  • Payment Card Industry Administrator Security Awareness Training (course number 10026252)

The courses are available on the HERO site, the Postal Service’s new platform for career development activities.

Managers can request access for contractors who handle or process credit card information by emailing CyberSafeComms@usps.gov.
