Scanning, Customer Connect and service updates

Western was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Nov. 9, while Dakotas finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.59 percent during the week ending Nov. 9, down from one week earlier.

Dakotas (98.89 percent) topped the districts, while Western (97.78 percent) led the areas.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail, and it helps USPS improve efficiency and network management.

Time to connect. Customer Connect Day, an annual celebration of the popular employee lead-sharing program, will be observed Saturday, Nov. 17.

USPS offers this recognition each year to thank letter carriers for their participation and to encourage them to continue submitting new leads.

From Oct. 1, 2017-Sept. 30, 2018, Customer Connect generated $168.9 million in estimated revenue.

The Sales Blue page has more information about Customer Connect and other leads programs.

Service alert. Some Postal Service operations have been affected by the California wildfires. The USPS Service Alerts site has the latest updates.
