Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.49 percent during the week ending Nov. 23, down from one week earlier.
Dakotas (98.81 percent) topped the districts, while Western (97.79 percent) led the areas.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail, and it helps USPS improve efficiency and network management.
To see the latest results, go to the Informed Visibility site and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.”
Take a peek. Reminder: The Postal Service has introduced Peek into Peak, a communications initiative that showcases individual employees and their contributions to the organization’s holiday efforts.
Peek into Peak is being promoted through Link, Postal Vision monitors inside USPS facilities, the tickertape scroll on ACE computers and the Lead to Win newsletter.
You can also visit the Peek into Peak LiteBlue page, which is updated daily with employee quotes and images.
Informed Visibility videos. The Postal Service is offering business customers tutorial videos to help them better understand Informed Visibility, the system that allows mailers to track letters and flat mailpieces as they move through the mailstream.
BlueTube videos that show how to use Informed Visibility Mail Tracking and Reporting (IV-MTR) are available on the IV-MTR page. To view the videos, select “Need more information?” on the left side of the page.
The videos, which are about 5 minutes each, complement the IV-MTR User Guide, which is available on PostalPro and provides detailed guidance on the application.
