The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the federal government’s annual workplace charity drive, ends Friday, Feb. 22.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management extended the CFC, originally slated to end Jan. 11, to help federal workers affected by the recent government shutdown.
Postal Service employees can submit a paper pledge form to a CFC keyworker or go to the CFC online giving portal to pledge their money or volunteer hours to more than 8,000 member charities.
“We have one more week,” said Kathleen Harper, a human resources program and policy analyst who oversees the Postal Service’s CFC efforts. “Whether $1 a pay period or $2 a month, every pledge goes a long way.”
Those who have already donated can give again.
“If you want to give a little something to a particular organization, you can add a one-time credit card or bank payment to your pledge,” Harper said.
Employees with questions should contact their local CFC keyworkers or campaign managers.
