Marc McCrery has been named the Postal Service’s mail entry and payment technology vice president.
He will lead mail preparation and payment support to commercial customers and continue the transformation of the organization’s commercial mailing and shipping channels.
McCrery joined USPS in 1990 and has served in several roles, including his most recent assignment as delivery retail and technology director.
The appointment is one of three announced July 19 in Chief Information Officer Kristin Seaver’s organization.
Jeff Johnson, who most recently served as information technology vice president, was appointed enterprise analytics vice president.
In this role, Johnson will lead the strategy to leverage data and technology to drive performance throughout the organization.
He will oversee all data and tracking systems and continue to build the Postal Service’s advanced analytics capabilities to create business insights. Johnson also will lead the organization’s efforts to implement artificial intelligence, machine learning and geospatial technologies to create customer and business value.
Johnson — who has more than 18 years of experience in engineering, security and information technology in the private and public sectors — joined the Postal Service in 2016.
Also, Pritha Mehra was named information technology vice president. She previously served as mail entry and payment technology vice president.
In her new role, Mehra will lead several groups, including Computer Operations, Information Technology Applications and Solutions Development, Enterprise Network Access, and Information Technology Performance Management.
Mehra began her postal career in 1990 and has worked throughout the organization, including roles in product development, customer relations and engineering.
McCrery, Johnson and Mehra have served in their new roles on an acting basis since January.
