The usps.com Service Alerts section has the latest Hurricane Dorian-related updates.

Service alert. The Service Alerts section on usps.com has the latest information on Hurricane Dorian, which has affected the Bahamas and threatens Florida and other states along the Southeast coast.

Due to mandatory evacuation orders, more than 140 Post Offices have suspended service throughout the Southeast, including 83 in South Carolina. Five processing plants are also temporarily closed.

Employees should check the USPS National Emergency Hotline number for the latest information on their facility’s operating status. The toll-free number, found on the back of most employee badges, is 888 EMERGNC (888-363-7462).

Postal Bulletin. The Postal Bulletin’s Aug. 29 edition covers workplace safety, including tips on avoiding slips, trips and falls.

The latest updates to forms, policies and procedures are also included.
