PMG sustainability awards deadline extended

Maintenance managers Carmel Slattery and Leryall Johnson show environmentally friendly battery chargers that helped Los Angeles District earn a 2017 Postmaster General Sustainability Excellence Award.

If you want to recognize sustainability excellence in your postal workplace, USPS is giving you more time to do so.

The organization has extended the deadline to submit nominations for the next round of Postmaster General Sustainability Excellence Awards.

The new deadline to submit completed nomination forms is Friday, Feb. 14.

The annual awards recognize areas, districts, facilities, teams and individuals who help foster sustainable workplaces.

According to the call for nominations, the Postal Service wants nominators to share stories from fiscal 2019 (Oct. 1, 2018-Sept. 30, 2019) that “demonstrate innovation, leadership and measurable impact on sustainability and environmental goals.”

The Sustainability Blue page has the nomination form, as well as a list of recipients from previous years.
