Scanning snapshot. The USPS national scanning score was 97.79 percent during the week ending Jan. 31, up from 97.7 percent from one week earlier.
Western (98.03 percent) and Dakotas (99.11 percent) occupied their usual positions as the top-rated area and district, respectively.
Among the Postal Service’s 67 districts, major gainers included Western Pennsylvania (98.5 percent), which ranked third, up 11 places from the previous week; No. 13 Alabama (98.23 percent), up 16 spots; No. 20 Oklahoma (98.15 percent), up 12 places; and No. 30 Tennessee (97.98 percent), up 24 spots.
Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

Red reminder. Postal Service employees can participate in National Wear Red Day, which is held annually to raise awareness of heart disease, on Friday, Feb. 7.
Employees who participate in National Wear Red Day are required to follow their facility’s dress code or the regulations detailed in Employee Labor Relations Manual, Section 930, Uniform Program.
