USPS Sales leaders recently visited Rio Grande District to thank employees for their efforts to win new business for the organization.
Since last fall, employees in the district have submitted sales leads that will generate more than $14 million in estimated annualized revenue through the Race for a $Billion campaign.
Rio Grande, part of Southern Area, ranks near the top of the 67 USPS districts in the campaign, which aims to raise $1 billion in estimated annualized revenue through employee-provided sales leads.
“The employees of Rio Grande District are putting their heart and soul into this campaign. Their passion for generating new business for the Postal Service is paying off and helping us move closer to the $1 billion mark,” said Mary Anderson, the small-business engagement sales director, who visited the district last month.
Race for a $Billion has raised more than $423 million so far. The campaign will conclude Sept. 30.
To help employees across the nation provide sales leads, USPS offers several programs, including Customer Connect (for letter carriers), Clerks Care (for retail associates and distribution and machine clerks), Mail Handlers (for mail handlers), Rural Reach (for rural carriers) and Submit a Lead (for everyone else, including Executive and Administrative Schedule employees).
