Western was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Aug. 7, while Dakotas finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 96.75 percent during the week ending Aug. 7, a slight decline from one week earlier.

Western led the seven areas with a 97.06 percent rating, while Capital Metro brought up the rear with a 96.48 percent score.

Among the 67 districts, Dakotas (98.37 percent) ranked first and Caribbean (87.28 percent) ranked last.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.”

Sustainability survey. USPS wants to know what employees think of the Annual Sustainability Report.

The organization is conducting an online survey that will help Sustainability prepare next year’s edition.

Employees can complete the survey on the Sustainability Blue page. The deadline is Aug. 28.

Great news. The Postal Service recently mailed Great Lakes Area Update’s latest issue to employees in the area.

This edition, which is also available on Blue and LiteBlue, features stories about dog bite awareness, employee engagement and other matters.
