The Postal Service will help raise awareness of the dangers of drug abuse when it releases its Drug Free USA stamp on Oct. 27.
The stamp, which USPS announced last fall, will arrive during Red Ribbon Week, which is held each year from Oct. 23-31 to promote drug abuse awareness and prevention.
Sponsored by the National Family Partnership, Red Ribbon Week participants wear a red ribbon or red to symbolize their dedication to preventing drug abuse.
The Drug Free USA stamp will feature a prominent white star on a dark blue background with red, light blue and blue lines streaming from each of the star’s five corners. The artwork is meant to represent the unity needed by to effectively address drug abuse.

The Drug Free USA stamp will be available at Post Offices and usps.com.
