In a new public service announcement, the Postal Inspection Service recommends using USPS special services such as Signature Confirmation and Registered Mail to ensure proper delivery of your seasonal cargo.
Signature Confirmation helps ensure accurate delivery by requiring the recipient’s first initial and last name at the time of delivery.
For high-value packages, customers can opt for Registered Mail service, which allows the sender to receive a mailing receipt and electronic verification of a delivery or delivery attempt. The sender can also insure Registered Mail items for up to $50,000.
