Central Area Vice President Krista Finazzo was named to a special assignment for Chief Retail and Delivery Officer Kristin Seaver, beginning March 1.
In her new role, Finazzo will focus on retail and delivery strategic initiatives, particularly those related to new Postal Service employees.
Elvin Mercado will serve as Central Area’s acting vice president while Finazzo is on assignment. Previously, Mercado had been on a retail and delivery special assignment and also served as Atlantic Area’s acting vice president.
Finazzo set up the new Central Area during last year’s consolidation, all while leading employees through the busy election and holiday seasons.
Central Area includes 10 states and has more than 33 million delivery points.
