My App Box upgrade

Applications configured to web browsers

My App Box 5.3 provides users with several ways to configure which web browser is used to open an app.

The latest upgrade to My App Box — the Postal Service’s tool for quick access to more than 430 applications — allows users to configure Microsoft Edge and other web browsers for specific applications.

Employees with ACE computers can find My App Box by clicking on the Windows icon on the left side of the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop screen, then scrolling down the list of “Most Used” applications.

My App Box 5.3 provides users with several ways to configure which web browser is used to open an app.

For instance, when you right-click an application, the context menu includes a “Set Browser” option. Move the mouse cursor over the option to access a list of available web browsers, then select the browser that you would like to be used.

Similarly, users can select a default browser for all other applications that don’t have a specific browser configured.

To do this, open My App Box. On the top menu, click “Options,” then select “Advanced Options.” Next, select “My App Box Default Browser.” From the drop-down list, choose a default browser and click OK.

Information Technology manages My App Box, which is used by more than 70,000 postal employees every month.
