USPS to end prepaid flat-rate stamped envelopes

USPS introduced the Priority Mail Prepaid Flat Rate Stamped Envelopes in 2003.

The Postal Service is discontinuing production of its Priority Mail Prepaid Flat Rate Stamped Envelope.

The envelope, which is only sold online at usps.com/postalstore, will remain available until January or while supplies last.

Customers who currently use Priority Mail Prepaid Flat Rate Stamped Envelopes are encouraged to place orders before supplies are depleted.

Once supplies are gone, Priority Mail Prepaid Flat Rate Stamped Envelope customers will be directed to purchase Priority Mail Forever Prepaid Flat Rate Envelopes, which have Forever postage applied and USPS tracking is included.

Currently affixed with Castillo de San Marcos Priority Mail stamp, the Priority Mail Prepaid Flat Rate Stamped Envelope has been sold since 2003.

The Postal Service is discontinuing the envelope because orders have steadily declined over the years, while production and fulfillment costs continued to rise.
