Kelly M. Sigmon, Customer Experience vice president since the organization’s establishment in 2018 and a 32-year veteran of the Postal Service, is retiring at the end of the year.
In his announcement, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy praised Sigmon’s “steadfast and passionate commitment to our customers and employees through her entire career.” He has asked her to work on special assignment with Chief Customer and Marketing Officer Steve Monteith before she departs.
Sigmon will continue to run the Customer Experience organization’s day-to-day operations for the next six weeks, as she works through the transition with the new Customer Experience vice president.
As Customer Experience vice president, Sigmon oversees Enterprise Customer Care, the Consumer Advocate, the Business Service Network, and Field Customer Relations functional groups. She is also responsible for the Customer Experience and Strategy team that focuses on understanding customers’ experiences through surveys across 10 channels.
Before Customer Experience, Sigmon served as the vice president overseeing Retail and Customer Service Operations, Retail Channel Operations and Engineering.
In addition, she was Southeast Michigan District manager, where she helped get the Michigan Metroplex Processing and Distribution Center up and running.
A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona College of Engineering, Sigmon was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2019. She was also a Sloan Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she earned a Master of Business Administration.
