With the holiday peak season around the corner, the Postal Service has created a chart to help employees quickly sort out the requirements for First-Class Package Service-Retail and First-Class Package Service-Commercial parcels.
The one-page chart details the similarities and differences between the products.
For instance, the maximum size for a for First-Class Package Service-Retail parcel is 108 inches in length and thickness, while the maximum size for a First-Class Package Service-Commercial parcel is 22 inches in length, 18 inches in width and 15 inches in thickness.
The maximum weight for a First-Class Package Service-Retail parcel is 13 ounces compared with 15.99 ounces for a First-Class Package Service-Commercial parcel.
The chart also highlights mailing and payments requirements to help employees avoid issues during the acceptance process and increase revenue assurance.
