Gift reminder

There are rules when it comes to colleagues

Do you know the Postal Service’s rules for accepting gifts from co-workers?

The Postal Service wants to remind employees that there are guidelines about giving and receiving gifts from colleagues.

An employee can give a gift to a manager or to a higher-paid colleague if it is a noncash gift valued at $10 or less.

There are no limits on gifts from managers to subordinates, but managers must avoid perceptions of favorable treatment.

For gifts between co-workers who earn the same amount of money, there are no limits.

Group gifts are not permitted for the holidays.
