Help for the holidays

EAP available for postal workers

The USPS Employee Assistance Program is available to help employees throughout the holiday season and beyond.

The Postal Service offers counseling and other services during the holidays — and all year long — through the USPS Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

If you need to talk to someone, you can call EAP’s toll-free number at 800-327-4968 (800-EAP-4YOU). The TTY number is 877-492-7341.

Counselors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

EAP is voluntary, confidential and free.

In addition to telephone counseling, EAP offers face-to-face counseling and video, text and online therapy.

The EAP4YOU.com website has information about all available services, including a series of one-page printouts that address a variety of topics, including dealing with loss, managing grief and celebrating safely.
