Blog explores the many facets of USPS

Jenny Lynch, the USPS historian, penned the latest Postal Posts blog entry.

Postal Posts, the Postal Service’s recently refreshed official blog, offers insider views on the organization’s past, present and future.

It is updated every few weeks with new posts.

As in the parable of the blind men and the elephant, each of these perspectives helps give a fuller picture of USPS in all its complexity and depth.

The latest post, from USPS Historian Jenny Lynch, is a celebration of Title IX and the history of women in the Postal Service.

Other recent entries include Frank Corcoran of Brand Marketing on how package returns are a growing part of the business; William Gicker of Stamp Services on the process behind creating commemoratives; and Thomas Foti, Product Solutions vice president, on Election Mail.

A menu helps users to find specific content that they’re interested in — heroes, say, or sustainability — and social media links allow readers to share content online in many platforms.

There is also a search function.

Postal Posts updates regularly, roughly twice a month on average, and readers are urged to visit regularly and to share their own thoughts, observations and recommendations.
