A new video shows how the Postal Service is restoring a sense of normalcy in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

“He brought us mail yesterday and I was surprised because our mailbox is gone,” Fort Myers, FL, small-business owner John Terlep says in the segment.

Open season webinars

Webinars and question-and-answer sessions on health benefits, selecting the right plan and navigating open season will be available for Postal Service employees on the VFairs platform.

The webinars will be recorded and will be available for playback an hour after the presentation. The VFairs platform is available 24/7, so you can virtually visit booths, download information and replay previously recorded presentations at your convenience.

The dates are (all times Eastern):

Scanning snapshot

Scanning snapshot. A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 96.54 percent during the week ending Oct. 28, down 0.42 from one week earlier.

The data was collected Nov. 2.

Central led the four areas with a rating of 96.69 percent, while WestPac ranked last with a 96.39 percent rating.

Among the 50 districts, Louisiana, part of Southern Area, ranked first with a 97.67 percent rating, while California 5, part of WestPac Area, ranked last with a 92.82 percent rating.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.

Delivery data. From Oct. 1-21, the Postal Service delivered 92.4 percent of First-Class Mail on time when compared with the organization’s service standard, according to data released last week.

During the same period, USPS delivered 93.9 percent of Marketing Mail and 85.7 percent of Periodicals on time, the figures show.
