Raymond to lead Atlantic Area

Scott Raymond has been named Atlantic Area vice president, a role he has filled on an acting basis since Oct. 1.

As vice president, Raymond will be responsible for 12 districts, 128,000 employees, 8,600 Post Offices and 35.6 million delivery points.

Prior to serving as acting vice president, Raymond served as Atlantic Region senior director.

He has held numerous leadership positions at USPS, including operations support manager for the former Capital Metro Area, Mid-Carolina Processing and Distribution Center senior plant manager and Atlanta District manager.

He has also been detailed to several managerial positions in both mail processing and customer service, including distribution operations senior manager at the Northern Virginia Processing and Distribution Center, and officer in charge at the Vienna Main Post Office, Oakton Branch and Dunn Loring Station, all in Virginia.

Raymond began his career with USPS as a mail processor in 1993. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program.
