1,300 Grow Your Business Day events planned

An invitation postmasters use to invite small businesses to their Grow Your Business Day events.

National Small Business Week may run from April 30 to May 6, but the Postal Service is stretching the celebration throughout the month of May.

More than 1,300 Grow Your Business Day events are planned next month at Post Offices across the country.

The USPS events are focused on educating small businesses about the organization’s shipping and mailing services and way to help them grow their businesses.

“The Grow Your Business Day events highlight the partnership of our postmasters within their small-business community,” said Peter Timko, small-business solutions manager at USPS headquarters in Washington, DC.

Timko said he was pleased that a listing of the events nationwide makes it easy for any business owner to find a Grow Your Business Day event in their area.

“It’s just another example of how the Postal Service is carrying out its Delivering for Main Street strategy,” he said.

The U.S. Small Business Administration, which organizes National Small Business Week, has more information on its site, while usps.com has details about postal products and services for small-business customers.
