City Carrier Assistant Adrien Loiselle was recently delivering mail in a Grand Rapids, MI, neighborhood when he detected a strong odor of gas outside a customer’s home.
Loiselle knocked on the front door and got no answer, so he immediately called 911.
The Postal Service employee remained on the scene until emergency responders arrived.
The customer later contacted the local Post Office to thank Loiselle for ensuring the safety of her home, her dog and her neighbors.
