After observing a customer’s mail pile up over several days, Hershey, PA, Letter Carrier Barbara Mauser also noticed a strange odor coming from inside the woman’s home. Mauser alerted her supervisor, who called police and met officers at the customer’s home to provide additional details. They found the woman in dire need of medical attention and credited Mauser with saving the customer’s life.
