When a 4-year-old boy went missing recently in a Mount Pleasant, IA, neighborhood, his parents turned to Letter Carrier Betty Lutz to help find him. As she delivered mail, Lutz asked neighbors if they’d seen the child, and she soon found him playing in the backyard of a house where he said he lived all by himself. Lutz called his parents and stayed with the boy — who expressed his eagerness to deliver mail with her — until they arrived to retrieve him.
