Jenifer Taylor, a postal support employee in Patterson, AR, was on duty one day last summer when she grew concerned about an older customer who was struggling to breathe after walking to the Post Office from his residence.
The man declined help from Taylor and another customer, who offered him a ride home, but when he left the office, he only made it to a business next door before he stopped and sat on a bench outside, still in apparent distress.
Taylor called 911 and kept an eye on him until emergency responders arrived to provide further assistance.
She was previously recognized through the Postmaster General Heroes’ Program in 2020.
