As Letter Carrier Brian Cole delivered mail recently in Worcester, MA, he came upon a man collapsed on the ground. The man was bleeding, unconscious, gasping for air and had a needle protruding from his arm. Cole called 911 and followed dispatchers’ instructions on providing first aid, including CPR, until emergency responders arrived. The overdose victim was expected to survive after receiving an antidote at the scene.
