Prichard, AL, Letter Carrier Charles Anderson was recently making deliveries when he grew worried that mail was piling up in the box of a customer who faithfully emptied it daily.
Anderson checked with neighbors, who said they had not seen the man.
The Postal Service employee phoned the customer’s brother, who soon discovered him inside in medical distress and called 911.
The man was hospitalized and later thanked Anderson for his life-saving intervention.
