Friendly intervention

Chicago Retail Associate Crystal Flynn

Retail Associate Crystal Flynn was at work recently in Chicago when she grew worried about an older colleague who had not reported to work as scheduled.

After making several attempts to reach the woman by phone, Flynn consulted with a supervisor, contacted local police and asked someone to check on the co-worker.

Officers found Flynn’s colleague stranded on the floor of her home with a broken hip sustained after a fall.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where a doctor credited Flynn’s intervention with saving the woman’s life.

“I thank God for using me to help someone who was helpless,” Flynn said later.

Flynn’s co-worker is recovering from the incident.
