Letter Carrier Jason Hasbrouck was recently delivering mail to a residence in Rochester, NY, when he spotted a side door open with keys in the lock.
Upon closer inspection, Hasbrouck spotted a customer on the kitchen floor with groceries strewn about.
The Postal Service employee rushed to check on the man, who was barely conscious, and immediately called 911.
Emergency responders soon arrived to evaluate the customer, who was believed to have fallen the previous evening after returning home from a shopping trip.
The man was hospitalized and paramedics credited Hasbrouck with a life-saving intervention.
