Gone girl

Quincy, MA, Letter Carrier Brandon Airosus

Letter Carrier Brandon Airosus was on duty recently in Quincy, MA, when he saw a woman and child crossing a street.

While paused midway, the little girl suddenly slipped away from her mother and was struck by a car.

Airosus rushed to the victim’s side, safely carried her to the sidewalk, called 911 and comforted her and her mom until emergency responders arrived.

The child, who sustained a leg injury, is recovering from the incident.

“Without the quick action taken by Brandon, the situation could have turned out much worse,” said Tara Shea, the local acting customer services manager.
