Handled with care

Letter Carrier Craig Blackwell was recently delivering mail in Chicago when he was approached by a man who asked about the packages he was carrying.

Blackwell did not provide him any information.

Later that day, the man approached him again and attempted to take the packages.

Nearby residents heard the commotion and gathered nearby, causing the man to flee.

Blackwell reported the incident to police and the Postal Inspection Service. He later learned that the packages in question contained parts to make firearms.
