Letter Carrier Jim Llewellyn was recently delivering mail in a Little Rock, AR, neighborhood when he spotted a customer who had collapsed alongside a street.
Llewellyn immediately called 911 for the man, who had been walking his dog, and rushed to his daughter’s home several blocks away to inform her of the crisis.
The customer, who had suffered a seizure, recovered after being hospitalized for several days.
His next-door neighbor later contacted the local Post Office to praise Llewellyn’s quick thinking and familiarity with customers on the route.
“Jim doesn’t live in our neighborhood, but he is a member of it,” he wrote.
