A Shinglehouse, PA, postal customer’s family members who lived hours away knew they could count on Highway Contract Route Driver Julie Perkins to contact them if something was wrong. When the man had not picked up his mail for several days recently, Perkins and Postmaster Tracy Worthington alerted his relatives at a number they had provided and also called 911. Emergency responders found that the man had fallen and broken his hip. He is recovering.
