While delivering mail recently in Ansonia, CT, Letter Carrier Kareem Copeland Sr. came upon a small child in the road. He pulled over, led the boy to safety, determined where he lived and soon reunited him with his mother. Copeland used in the incident as the basis for a safety talk the next day about the importance of alert driving. He told his co-workers, “If I wasn’t paying attention, I would have hit this kid.”
