A 101-year-old postal customer recently walked six blocks to the Hondo, TX, Post Office to buy stamps.
It was a hot and humid day, and upon arriving, the woman collapsed and injured her head.
After 911 was called, Retail Associate Kim Thomas — a former Air Force medic — sprang into action. She performed first aid and kept the woman calm and still until emergency responders arrived.
The customer was treated at a hospital and is recovering from her injury.
