Mailbox mishap

Rural Carrier Associate Michael Huling was making deliveries on a winter day in Baldwinsville, NY, when he saw a customer fall at a mailbox.

Huling rushed to the woman’s aid, safely lifting her and helping her get inside the residence.

The customer later penned a letter to Huling, explaining that she’d been visiting her mother and eventually went to a hospital for treatment of a dislocated shoulder and broken arm.

“I want to thank you so very much for helping me,” she wrote. “You are my real-life hero.”
